INDUSTRIAL REVOLUTION
Industrial revolution means conversion of a fundamentally rural society into an industrial society. The first country to undergo such a change was Britain. Its industrial revolution began in the early 18th century, and was completed at the end of 19th century. It spread to the continent of Europe and to the U.S.A, where new technologies were developed. The process can still be seen today, as countries with predominantly rural economies become industrialized.
